Visual Arts


The Himalayan Art Now Grant Program is open to not-for-profit organizations and individuals in the field of art. Applicants can be from any nationality. The program offers grants once a year, with applications reviewed by a committee. Key dates for submission are provided.


SOLA Awards - Ginny Ruffner | March 24th, 2025

The SOLA (Support Old Lady Artists) Awards offer $5,000 grants to female-identified visual artists in Washington State, aged 60 or over, who have dedicated over 25 years to creating art. Founded in 2016 by Seattle artist Ginny Ruffner, this award celebrates women's contributions in the arts, with one award specifically honoring a BIPOC artist. Eligibility requires residency in Washington State and significant art dedication.


The AXA Art Prize US is a juried student art competition and exhibition of 40 two-dimensional figurative works: paintings, drawings, and original printmaking. First Prize of $10,000 and Second Prize of $5,000 awarded to finalists. Applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. school in studio art. Previous winners not eligible.


 

 

Music


Tenure track position for Section Bass with audition dates in May 2025. Highly qualified applicants can submit resumes by March 13, 2025. Equal Opportunity Employer seeking diversity in the orchestra.


The Claussen Simon Composition Prize awards a young composer €15,000 to create a 15-min orchestral work performed by the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra. Applicants must submit a concept sketch by 2025. The winner gets creative and organizational support. Location: Hamburg, Germany.


The Synchromy Opera Workshop offers composers the chance to workshop their opera projects in front of professional musicians and a small audience. While there is no financial compensation, all costs are covered by the organization. Composers receive a video recording, photos, audience feedback, and the opportunity to network. The location for all workshops and performances is Los Angeles. Priority to applicants with ties to Southern California.


 

Performing Arts


The Queensboro Dance Festival is seeking choreographers and companies in Queens for performance slots, with priority given to professional-level groups. Applicants must submit minimum 3 minutes of video footage. Instructions for application on Submittable platform provided on the website.


Chashama is seeking a Set Designer for their Gala 2025 themed Dreamscape. Responsible for transforming a 10,000 sq ft venue into immersive dreamscapes, collaborating with a Lighting Designer, and showcasing previous work. Compensation $8,000, materials provided.


We are looking for 70 performers and artists to participate in a public performance art project in a busy New York subway corridor. No prior experience required. The performance will involve a dynamic vocal soundscape created by participants, using vowel sounds freely to respond to each other and the environment. The artist, Dai Asano, aims to shift the perception of the daily rush hour through this immersive experience. No requirements. Application form available on the website.
