WFF Housing Stability Grant - Woodman Family Foundation | April 8th, 2025
The Woodman Family Foundation Housing Stability Grant for Artists provides $30,000 grants over three years to NYC-based visual artists in need for stable housing. Recipients must focus on their creative practice and build sustainable careers. Eligibility criteria include Individual, Artistic, and Emergency requirements.
2025 Anonymous Was A Woman Environmental Art Grants - AWAW | April 15th, 2025
The AWAW EAG provides grants up to $20,000 for environmental art projects led by women artists in the US. Projects should engage environmental issues ethically, with preference for Indigenous practices.
Sculpture Placement Opportunity - Jordan River Art Walk | April 30th, 2025
Northern Michigan artists can submit sculptures for display in East Jordan. $600 stipend, three-year display, responsible for installation. Open to US artists 18+.

Music
Part-Time Piano Teacher - Merit School of Music | April 15th, 2025
Merit School of Music seeks a qualified piano instructor to teach group classes within our Instrumental and Vocal Music Program beginning in June. Programming takes place at Merit’s West Loop Branch between the hours of 4 pm and 9 pm, Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays between 8 am and 6 pm. The position may also expand to include private lessons on-site at Merit or at one of Merit’s off-site partners. Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent experience/training.
Community Embedded Musician, Teaching Artist - Houston Symphony | April 30th, 2025
The Houston Symphony’s Education and Community Engagement initiatives aim to engage the diverse communities of Houston through a wide range of programs. In addition to the 150,000 community members who participated in Student and Community concerts, we served nearly 5,000 people across Greater Houston through personalized interactions, whether bedside performances in area hospitals, classroom visits with middle school and high school bands and orchestras, early childhood partnerships, dementia center performances, and more.
We are seeking versatile and passionate violin teaching artists to join our team as Community-Embedded Musician Teaching Artists. In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to engage with diverse communities across Houston through a variety of music education and performance programs. While we are primarily seeking individuals who can commit consistently to one of the core programs listed below, additional program opportunities may be available depending on the applicant’s skill set and availability. Applicants whose primary instrument is an orchestral instrument other than the violin may also be considered for participation in some programs, provided they demonstrate strong skills in beginning violin pedagogy.
Jazz Studies Administration Apprentice - The Juilliard School | March 31st, 2025
This is a full-time position. The apprentice will work closely with members of Jazz Studies in the day-to-day operations of the Juilliard Jazz Orchestra, Juilliard Jazz Small Ensembles, and classes. The Apprentice will have exposure to key elements of department operations and management including the ensemble music library, equipment, personnel, scheduling, entrance auditions, Showcase juries, and concert production.
The salary is $17.39 per hour or a contracted amount of $27,824 for the school year.
Performing Arts
Core Viola - Apollo Chamber Players | April 15th, 2025
Apollo Chamber Players (“Apollo”) seeks a Core Artist for an appointment on Viola. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for both traditional and contemporary music and be versatile in performing across various chamber music settings including season, outreach, community and touring concerts, as well as recording projects.
Competitive yearly salary includes a generous benefit package, with health insurance and retirement contributions. This position requires an average of 20 hours or 6 services per week, depending on the specific schedule and performance calendar.
The position will commence once the appropriate candidate is selected and hired. Successful candidate will be required to relocate to Houston if not already residing in the metro area. Houston is the nation’s third largest city and offers a lower cost of living in comparison to other major cities. The most ethnically diverse city in the nation, it is home to a vibrant economy, and world class art and cultural attractions. A variety of freelance and teaching opportunities are available in the Houston area, including with the Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet, ROCO, Mercury Chamber Orchestra, among others.
